Brian Hill of NJ No. 1 U.S. No. 13-ranked Christian Brothers Academy has chosen to continue his academic and running career at the University of Michigan. Hill made the announcement Thursday night on his instagram as seen below.
Hill won a non-public A South Sectional title last spring in the 3200m. He also finished sixth at both the indoor and outdoor NJSIAA Meet of Champions, a run of 9:21.98 during the spring race. His career best in the 3200m is a 9:13.00 from his sophomore year at the Holmdel Twilight Series. He also has PRs of 4:15.70 for the 1600m and 16:18 at Holmdel Park.
As a sophomore Hill scored fifth on CBA's 2015 state championship team and helped push his squad to Nike Cross Nationals the past two seasons. So far this fall he has hit a career best 16:05 at Bowdoin XC Classic, finishing second in the Varsity 1 race and leading CBA to the team title. You can expect to see him compete at the Manhattan Invitational this weekend.
